ISO 9001 Management Review Meeting

ISO 9001 Management Review Meeting is a requirement of the ISO 9001 Standard. According to ISO 9001:2015 Clause, 9.3.1 Clause: “Top management shall review the organizations’ quality management system, at planned intervals, to ensure its continuing suitability, adequacy, and effectiveness”.

After setting up and implementing a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001, the organization will be required to do internal audits and management reviews.  Management review shall address issues such as non-conformities and corrective actions, monitoring and measuring results, audit results, customer satisfaction, conformity of products and services, opportunities for continual improvement, etc. Certification auditors/registrars do look for documentary evidence that you have conducted internal audit and management reviews.

(Clause 9.2) A management review committee will need to be set up which consists of top management and managers within branches of your organization. Management Review should make sure that the quality management system is being properly implemented and fix any problems that occur within the QMS. Management review should look for ways and opportunities to improve the quality management system that is in place, even if it is in compliance with ISO 9001. This monitoring does not have to be constant, but it should be periodic.
