ISO TRAINING RECORDS

For each position in your company, ISO 9001:2015 standard requires you to define the skills and the level of knowledge needed for each position. These will be the skills and knowledge required in order for that employee to perform his or her jobs. If employees do not currently possess the skills and knowledge for the job they are doing, training will be required. ISO 9001 requires that all training be properly documented.

There are specific requirements for documentation of training

  • A description of the area that the training focused on
  • Relation to internal documents and procedures in your business
  • Relation to any external standards or procedures
  • Date when training was conducted and the time length of it
  • Proof that the training was useful and effective
    • This will be shown through evaluations
  • Any other recommendations such as more training
